When a private jet maintenance hangar required a floor system that could stand up to forklifts, fuel, and constant wear, Simiron delivered. Partnering with Infinite Designs, LLC, the project team installed a high-performance SimFloor High-Wear Urethane system — engineered for maximum durability, chemical resistance, and slip protection.
Problem
The customer was looking for a durable, chemical resistant coating that would withstand the wear and tear of forklift traffic for a new build airplane hangar used for maintenance and private jets.
Solution
Infinite Designs chose the SimFloor High-Wear Urethane system with sand broadcast. 1100SL was used as a primer and basecoat, and High-Wear Urethane was used as the topcoat. This durable system provides a slip-resistant texture which is achieved with a single-broadcast of silica sand. The topcoat ensures superior resistance against abrasion, chemicals and UV exposure while imparting excellent flexibility.
